Is it worth having the image sitemap?

If this is the question, the answer is NO. It is not worth having the sitemap for images. The sitemap amit developed is complained to be buggy and not worth to have it.

Secondly, google can crawl and index all the images that is reletively important while crawling the page that is having images. So unless you are developig a very big site, it is not worth having the Image sitemap plugin.

A Hard Drive is the biggest built-in information storage system on your PC or Lap Top. This mechanical drive gets flooded completely to its limits thereby slowing down your computer speed. This kind of jam reduces several functions including, copying and moving of files; log in time, pauses while working and playing videos and games.

The solution is to periodically run a defragmentation utility that takes a couple of hours to run, depending on the size of your hard drive and severity of fragmentation. To understand how this might be done, let’s take a look at how data is moved to and from a disk. The input and out put subsystem accepts a stream of requests to read or write data to and from a disk which it holds in a queue. In order to help speed things up on the hard drive, it usually merges read or write requests together if they are close to each other in the queue and if they involve the same area of the disk.

The read requests on the hard drive are generally given higher priority than write requests because a given process will have to wait for the read data it has requested before it can continue, while it won’t have to wait for the result of a write. The subsystem will also usually detect the input and output data when it is being read sequentially from the disk and use a technique called “read-ahead” to read and cache the disk block following the one it has been asked to read.

There is one problem when the cache is switched on when it is likely that a crash (blue screen) or power failure may cause severe file system corruption, causing data loss. I advice that you should only use this on systems where you can easily restore a backup of the information should this situation occur. However, with the cache switched on the hard drive runs faster thereby increasing data speed considerably.

Lately, the PC users have moved to LCD, plasma and other flat-panel technologies, globally. In laptops especially, screens are very prone to getting filthy because people just can’t keep their fingers off of them. Mostly, you could sprinkle water mixed with a cleaner and wipe them down when they got dirty. My experience says that these always leave residue on your display and I don’t trust the dry, paper wipes not to scratch the screen. After using them, I have found that the screen rarely looks much better than before I cleaned it.

Usually, they are available at any electronics or computer store. Klear Screen is also commonly recommended, but it’s much more expensive.

Here is what you can do to save some money; you can try mixing your own ammonia-free LCD cleaner. I advise you could start with plain water, but use distilled water. I have also read that you can add a little white vinegar or vodka to the water to aid the cleaning, but I have never tried that personally.

Relatively, you might also notice that laptops get smudged and dirtied by keyboards, which can happen if the notebook is poorly designed such that the screen actually touches the keys when it is closed. I eliminated this; I cut up an old t-shirt and place it over the keyboard when I close it.

I strongly advise against the use of the prepackaged wipes that are moistened with cleaning liquid.

I have shifted to ‘gmail’ for faster access to my email account. The method is pretty simple and you can also do it. Mainly, this application requires you to transfer your contacts and messages. It comes in two modes including, Auto Transfer Mode and Manual Contact Transfer Mode.

Automated Transfer Mode

1. As you open your gmail account, go to ‘Settings’, then click on the “Accounts and Import” Tab. Thereafter, enter the passwords for your Yahoo! mail account and export your contact information as per the instructions. Now select the import options you want to use. You can decide to import all your contacts and old mail or some portions of thereof by mailing all of your contacts and tell them your new address.

Manual Contact Transfer Method

1. Here, you need to export your contacts from Yahoo mail: Go to >> contacts >> Import and Export. Then, select Yahoo CSV (Comma Separated Values) format from the drop down menu. Thereafter, Save the file to your Desktop and log into Gmail. Now, Click on “Contacts” in the left hand sidebars and Select “Import Contacts” from the options.
2. It will import all your contacts on selecting the file on your Desktop using “Browse”.

The above processes works also for both free and premium Yahoomail accounts. If you are willing to pay the $20 per year for Premium Yahoo mail and want to auto-forward your email from Yahoo to Gmail, go to “Mail Options” in Yahoo. Select “POP (Post Office Protocol) and forwarding” and enter your Gmail address. Press “send.”

You can abandon your Yahoo account by simply going to “Mail Options” in Yahoo and selecting “Vacation Response.” You must use “Vacation Response” with plenty of caution as it will alert everyone including, spammers. They will continue to flood your mail box as they will come to know your new email address.
