This post is a guide to Video Editing Toggle that will help you to install the toggle for Video Editing on the iPhone2G and iPhone 3G. This method that has been posted by iSpazio will enable you to record video using Cycorder, which will end up directly in the photographic film iPhone which can be edited and cut just as iPhone 3GS. The function is regulated by a practical Toggle for SBSettings and then all the details are provided to install the mod.

Note: These Mods are still in the beta version and available for testing purposes only and I am not responsible for any damage. It is mandatory to Backup iPhone Contacts, SMS, Notes & Call History manually, before getting started.
Requirements:
- SBSettings installed on iPhone via Cydia
- OpenSSH installed on iPhone via Cydia
- MobileTerminal installed on iPhone via Cydia
- Cycorder to record video installed on iPhone via Cydia
- Cyberduck or WinSCP installed on your computer
Note:
You need to download video editing toggle from iVideoToggle.zip for iPhone 3G and EDGE.
Installing Video Editing Toggle
The following steps will guide you in enabling video editing toggle that will help you to install the toggle for Video Editing on the iPhone2G and iPhone 3G.
1: First, unpack the file in .Zip that has been just downloaded and connect via SSH to your iPhone.
2: Copy the entire folder “VideoToggle” in the following location: “private / var / tmp”
3: Run Mobile Terminal on iPhone and type these commands:
su root
Alpine
bash /private/var/tmp/VideoToggle/install
4: There will be several processes and finally there will be a Restart where at this point SBSettings will open and you will see a new Toggle in red called VideoToggle.
When the toggle is off, you can record the videos according to your preferences and save them in a film camera. When you want to modify and cut them, you must activate the toggle and go exactly with iPhone 3GS. Now, select the part you want and then click the Cut button on the upper right.
Note: When the Toggle is ON, you won’t be able to use the photo camera. When you turn it OFF and you’ll get your camera back. You must toggle to activate only when you need to change something in the recorded videos.

Music lovers of iPhone can now stream unlimited songs from Zune on to their iPhones. To make this happen you need to have the app OrbLiveApp from the Apple app store and install in your iPhone. This app acts as a link to the software that you have to install on your desk top which has to support Windows, which is essential.

In your Desktop that supports Windows you have to install “Orb” which is a tool that lets you access audio remotely. Orb is a free tool. Now You have to open Orb and create a free account with user name and pass word. Orb when configured lets you down load Zune pass files into your PC for 15$ a month out of which you can retain 10 numbers and this way you can build your collection.

Once the desk top is configured it connects with the iPhone. By tapping on the audio icon on the app in your iPhone all the tracks that have been downloaded to the desk top can be accessed.

I’m a big user of Twitter, especially on the iPhone. Twitter and the iPhone is a perfect match of service and device that has been approved by Apple. It is offered as a free upgrade for all existing users. The new users can download a free version, which includes ads or pay an introductory price of US$4 for the ad-free premium edition.

SimplyTweet Lite is a twitter application for iPhone which is free and basically focuses on twitter conversations. You need not navigate through a series of tweets to understand a conversation between friends and view your friend’s timeline and all your @Replies. SimplyTweet Lite displays all the tweets related to a conversation on a single screen. It is similar to user identity of iChat where you can also reply to multiple twitterers together.
TwitterFon is focused on 80% of your task of Twitter such as check friends or replies timeline, check direct messages, send a reply or a direct message and search. It has very clean user interface, very fast response and scrolling ability. It lets you read and publish tweets to twitter through your Mac. The app also has keyboard shortcuts for quick access. There is support for multiple twitter accounts too.
Twitterrific is a fun application that lets you both read and publish posts or “tweets” to the Twitter community website in a simple manner. The application’s user interface is clean, concise and designed to take up a minimum of real estate on your Mac’s desktop. You can get twitterrific for free but with Ads in it or buy it if you find the ads annoying.
Twittelator Pro is the most powerful twitter client for your iPhone which begins finding folks nearby and posting Tweets, maps & photos. It supports picture from both camera and library and maps and also built in web browser to view external links.
Twittervision is a remote access tool combining with Google maps allowing you to see all of the Twitterers posts in real time posted on a world map. NASA used Twittervision to capture the discovery of what appeared to be water ice on Mars by the Phoenix Mars Lander. Other NASA projects, such as Space Shuttle missions and the International Space Station, have also started using Twittervision to disseminate breaking news or provide information feeds for sporting events.

You need to have a complete access to forums, search, personal message system of your iPhone file system so that you can browse through the files on your iPhone, drag and drop stuff onto it just like Explorer and copy your MP3s and movies back to your hard drive. In your quest to ‘jailbreak’ your iPhone make sure that iPhone and computer are operating on the same network. Jailbreaked means you get access to the iPhone’s firmware and then read it how you like it.
Jailbreaking is more like a cat and mouse game. This method also allows the writing of files to the root directory, where the iPhone stores files that are specific to the user rather than the operating system. This includes the Media folder, where images, iTunes tracks and all kinds of fun stuff are stored. The technical steps required to enable custom ring tones, wallpapers and more for your iPhone is highlighted. Jailbreaking your iPhone File System automatically tracks the posts you have read and saves your time.
- First, turn on your iPhone and open the OpenSSH app which has an icon looking like a light-bulb switch. Check the OpenSSH is on “On” or “I.”
Next, close SSH and now open the Preferences. Then, go to Wi-Fi and turn it on to select your network and connect to it.
- If you are still in the Wi-Fi preferences, hit the blue circular arrow on your selected network. You will now see a couple of options and addresses, which includes the IP address of your iPhone. It is important to note down your IP-address as you will later need it.
- Put aside your iPhone, but make sure it stays on for the duration of this tutorial. Touch it once or twice every 30 seconds intermittently.
Finally, open your FTP Client and create a new connection and use this info for your connection.
1. Protocol: SFTP
2. Server: The IP-address you noted from your iPhone
3. Username: root
4. Password: alpine
The unlocking feels so close now that you can almost touch it.
- Now, hit “Connect” and there you are right in the iPhones file system.

The Apple iPhone is a powerful mobile device that runs on a powerful operating system. There are over 35,000 apps for the iPhone, including, stunning graphics, effects, and ‘free memory’. The Free Memory on an iPhone can be increased by restarting the device once per day. You could be running an application while listening to songs and definitely the application would have crashed. This has happened to several users and how it can be avoided.
Generally, your iPhones memory resources are eaten up when you run programs and close them. The Free memory application allows you to free the runtime memory on the iPhone. Now, Runtime memory is the memory required to run the iPhone processes. The iPhone comes with a 128 mb runtime. Due to large requirement of system processes, there are only few mb’s left for running the applications. The low availability of runtime memory to run those particular applications results in crashing, hanging, safari suddenly quitting etc.
There are several applications including, iPod player, Phone application, Mail application and the Safari Web Browser that run continuously in the background even when closed and this is the reason the iPhone suffers with crashing applications. Therefore, by increasing Free memory, it allows you to run your applications and processes without any problems like hang and crashing. Also one thing I noticed in this application is that after freeing the memory the phone works much faster and the game speed improves, drastically.
How to Apply:
As you open the application you will see a button ‘Free Memory’ and above that you will see the available free memory which is already calculated as you open the application and tap on the button and the runtime memory would be freed. So there’s no need to reboot your iPhone again and again if your application crashes or hangs, just open the app and click free memory and your problem would be solved within seconds. The other feature in the new version is to see the processes which are currently running on the iPhone. It also shows the battery level of the iPhone in percentage mode.
IMPORTANT NOTE to users with OS 2.2: If you have less than 4 MB available, freeing memory may take about 1-2 minutes, or it may cause a reset.

Got your new iphone?? want to maintain it with ease?? or empower it with features. If so follow the tricks in this post and the other posts in my blog. If you know any other tricks please do mention them here.
Top 5 iPhone 3G Tricks & Tips for Newbies
1. Safari tricks: return to home + page down.
a)In Safari, instead of scrolling down you can double tap quickly just above the “+” icon and this will bring you down a page.
b)To return to the top of the page, single tap the time at the top and you’ll jump back to the top of the page.
2. Google Maps: zoom in, zoom out.
Instead of pinching out to zoom out, if you tap the screen with two fingers, the page will zoom out. Voila!
3. Save photos in Mail or Safari: You can save any photo emailed to you, or an image on a webpage. Just hold your finger down and the following prompt will appear (I think you can handle the next step):
4. One step slide for typing capital letters or numbers: Instead of pressing the “shift” or “.?123″ buttons and letting go to capitalize a letter or get a number, here’s a cool short cut. Tap the “shift”/”.?123″ button and hold your finger down, then slide to the appropriate letter or number and let go. BAM! You just saved yourself a key press! Try it out! This will increase your typing efficiency big time!
5. Surf Safari in landscape mode–in bed: A lot of people use their iPhones in bed (don’t lie, I do it too–so sad). Anyways, if you want to surf the web in Safari in landscape mode while lying on your side it can be a problem. The iPhone’s accelerometer will automatically rotate the browser whenever you turn the iPhone on its side.
To fix this problem, turn your iPhone into landscape mode–then rotate the iPhone so the Home button will be pointing towards your ceiling. This will hold Safari in landscape while you’re surfing the web in bed on your side–allowing you to keep Disconnect Anxiety at bay.
Bonus tip: Like to take self portraits with the camera? Here’s a handy tip: first hold your finger down on the shutter button and keep it there. Next, strike a pose while holding the camera at a distance–then release your finger–BAM…a photo will be taken! This method helps reduce the shake that usually occurs when you press the shutter, resulting in blurry images.
I know you might already know some of these tricks. However a lot of people don’t so this is why I’m posting them.
