Apple 3.0 iPhone app : Video Uploading to Face Book

facebookiphoneFace Book is likely to join the hall of fame for video uploading from Apple iPhone 3GS with a new app that it is being developed. Youtube saw its uploads increase by 400% after the release of the iPhone 3GS.

The already hugely popular Facebook app for iPhone developed by Joe Hewitt is almost complete and is likely to be announced soon. Joe Hewitt works for Face Book and as a hobby pursues iPhone apps development. The app for the iPhone 3GS will not include the push notifications that Apple has released for its developers. The app in addition to video uploading to Face Book will have the following features as announced by Joe Hewitt.

  • Events (including the ability to RSVP)
  • Notes
  • Pages
  • Create new photo albums
  • Upload photos to any album
  • Zoom into photos
  • Easier photo tagging
  • Profile Pictures albums
  • A new home screen for easy access to all your stuff, search, and notifications
  • Add your favorite profiles and pages to the home screen
  • Better Notifications (they link to the comments so you can reply)
  • Quickly call or text people right from the Friends page
  • Messages you are typing will be restored if you quit or are interrupted by a phone call
